Righteousness by Faith

GOD. He beheld sin, lived amongst sinners, yet was without sin. He chose not to sin; what about you? Living amongst sinful men and women as the man Jesus Christ, God was tempted, but He did not fall. Today, if you will have faith in Jesus, He will help you overcome sin. Even in this cesspool of sin, you can emerge victorious!

12/05 Sabbath: A Cake Unturned

They are all hot, like an oven
And have devoured their judges;
All their kings have fallen.
None among them calls upon Me.
Ephraim has mixed himself among the peoples;
Ephraim is a cake unturned.
Aliens have devoured his strength,
But he does not know it;
Yes, gray hairs are here and there on him,
Yet he does not know it. (Hosea 7:7-9)

"Are you a half-baked Christian?" was the question posted by the pastor earlier today during Divine Worship. Do you wanna be lukewarm: neither hold nor cold, of the world and thoroughly mixed with it, thus unfervent and nonchalant about your professed faith in Christ?

Don't be a cake unturned, a tosai half-cooked or a bread with a flour center...such unpalatable food the Lord will spit out. Tough, but true. So run with the Gospel and carry revival, friends, before it's all too late.

12/05 Sabbath: What if Christians sin?
~ Elizabeth Ong Hui Chin

Answer: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
(1 John 2:1, 2)

"If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." (1 John 1:10)

"He was punished and persecuted by his people for saying he was a follower of Jesus. On one of the occasions in which he was put in jail, he happened to hear an AWR broadcast in the Afar language." Read more.

16/05 Midweek: A Singaporean Sabbath testimony

Read it at http://dialogue.adventist.org/articles/07_3_wong_e.htm

Tell us about your experience as a Seventh-day Adventist attending a public university.
My student experience at the National University of Singapore was a challenging one. Because I was the only Adventist in the medical school, I was bombarded by many questions regarding my faith by Christians of other denominations, for they considered Adventism a cult. I had to really search the Scriptures to come up with adequate answers and to share my convictions.

Did you encounter any problems at the university?
One major problem I faced was Sabbath observance. We had classes, tutorials, and exams on Saturday almost every week, and I had to request rescheduling. Occasionally things worked out, but many times I had to skip classes and tutorials and fail the exams.
